Q7010, after last BIOS update (R2.17.0) NVME SSD M.2 drive start works in PCIe 1.0 x4 instead PCIe 3.0 x4

Postby videogroove » Wed Jan 24, 2024 19:03

Hello,

After automatic (windows 10 22h2 x64) update of BIOS on my Esprimo Q7010 (10500t, h470 comet lake, 256gb nvme pci gen3) on V5.0.0.17 - R2.17.0 (14/11/2023) my NVME SSD M.2 drive start works in PCIe 1.0 x4 instead PCIe 3.0 x4 as it was before, and now speed of drive is only ~900 mb/s instead ~3000 mb/s (((

On previous BIOS V5.0.0.17 - R2.14.0 (07/12/2022) everything was fine and BUS provide full speed PCIe 3.0 x4, but now I can't make a rollback (downgrade) from R2.17.0 to R2.14.0, because it's restricted by you for this version (((

I'm pretty sure that it is BIOS issue, because I manually install the same ver. 2.17.0 of BIOS on another q7010 (same model) and get exactly the same bus/speed issue (((

So now I own two PC's with slower M2 speeds ((

Please help me to solve this issue!

Please fix this issue in next BIOS or maybe you recommend something else, but not any official driver from your site, Intel site or Samsung site doesn't help me (((

Thanks!

Hello,

Personally I use two Q7010 with s/n: EICE001055 and EICE001042 and both of them have this issue after upgrading to BIOS R2.17.0

As I said before M.2 PCI-E 3.0 bus start to work in PCI-E 1.0 mode after upgrade (((

Also I have access to many of absolutely equal PC's and all of them after upgrading to last BIOS R2.17.0 have this issue with NVME speed (((

In attached file you can see System Scan report of my Q7010 s/n: EICE001055

Please make new BIOS that can solve this problem

Thanks!

Hello,

Thank you for providing this information, but unfortunately, we cannot assist you further.
The situation in Ukraine has created complex challenges for all companies including the ones operating in IT business. Supply chains are under heavy constraints and experiencing disruptions. Many governments implemented sanctions and further export control restrictions which have an impact on Fujitsu’s business operation including technical assistance. Reflecting on these present circumstances the Fujitsu Group announced on March 14, 2022, that it is ceasing all new orders and deliveries of products and product related services in Russia and Belarus.

Best regards,
