D538: problem with add VGA card

I'm going crazy to setup a new VGA card. Tried a quadro T400 and a GT730, checked bios option (disabled onboard, tried all option about dedicated VGA) but no new card appears in hardware management and the integrated VGA works ever. Someone knows why?

I am struggling too. I have bought another screen for my D538 and have bought the HDMI to usb connector. It still wont work.

Sorry to piggy back onto your thread but didn't want to post another question when I think the answer to your problem will be the answer to mine.

I have no idea about VGA cards so am a bit worried about that bit. Hopefully any other answers you get will give me the answer I need too!

The FUJITSU ESPRIMO D538 Desktop PC provides superior expandability features in a smaller chassis design and was available with CPU's up to 8th and 9th generation of Intel's Core processors. The integrated graphics card of 8th gen. Intel Core technology was the Intel UHD Graphics 630.
Processor-integrated graphics details: resolution max. 4096 x 2304 (DisplayPort). shared video memory: Up to half size of total system memory, dual display support, DP supports Ver. 1.2 incl. Multi-Stream and DVI-D interface supports audio output for HDMI monitors.
Onboard the D538 you will find 3 PCIe slots. The middle one (blue) is PCIe x4(2.0), please note that VGA extension card only works in the PCIe x4 slot (the blue one).
Additional graphics cards can be installed in the top PCIe x16(3.0) slot and examples of compatible graphics cards are here:

In case of any issues please proceed with standard troubleshooting steps, make sure to use the correct PCIe slots, check the cables, see the BIOS settings and set:
BIOS -> Advanced -> Graphics configuration -> Primary Display: Auto
BIOS -> Advanced -> Graphics configuration -> Internal Graphics: Enabled

So the quadro T400 should be the right choice (https://www.pny.com/nvidia-t400-4gb tested on another computer, it's ok). I'll check again the bios settings (last revision 26/09/2023).

Tried every combination of settings witch Primary Display and Internal Graphics but no way to use a PCIex 16x VGA card, never video output and the integrated VGA continues to work. I hate it! I build PC systems from 20 years and never found a ***** computer like this...
Any other advice?
