Do I have the correct Ram fitted?

Postby Polonut » Sat Apr 10, 2021 12:12

Hello everyone
I have a Esprimo P5730. This is a windows 7 pro PC 64 bit, and It has just started showing bios beep error code 1331. Computer works with no problem during the day, but, on first start-up of the day it can sometimes refuse to boot - and 1331 beep is sounded.
Several attempts to restart takes me to the windows repair option - and when the last restore point is selected, all goes through with no further problem and off we go again.
I did remove the ram and reseat, and will see if that overcomes the problem.
Whilst doing this I noticed that the ram was double sided. Whilst looking at ram options I read somewhere that the original ram was one sided (?) and that double sided could cause a problem.

Is this a known problem with my model, I know that some PC's are very RAM fussy. Your comments welcomed
Thanks in advance

Hello :)

Please note that this is an archive device that has reached its EOL in 2015.

Information regarding RAM modules from datasheet: DDR2, 800Mhz, PC2-6400 (1Gb, 2Gb, 4Gb). Total capacity - 16Gb. Please note that for dual channel performance, identical memory modules in each channel are necessary.

Test memory modules with MemTest86 https://www.memtest86.com/.
