[U9311x] Bios Upgrade

Hi

I try to upgrade the Bios on my Lifebook U9311X.

All other upgrades (drivers etc.) work flawlessly, but I always get the same error when try to upgrade BIOS:

1024 Device enryption or BitLocker Drive Encryption is in progress.
***

When I go into the control panel, Bitlocker ist not turned on. It seems there is no drive encryption at all.

My BIOS Settings:
Security -> System Firmware Update : Enabled
Security -> Device Firmware Update : Enabled
System Firmware Rollback: Enabled


What else can I try?

Thank you for contacting Fujitsu.

Could you please inform us if you are performing the update manualy or with DeskUpdate?
Also, have you tried enabling the BitLocker, then disabling it a gain to reset a possible status error from the application?

Thank you, that helped. I startet BiLocker, waited a few minutes, disabled it, waited again a few minutes, and finally DeskUpdate did the BIOS Update.

However: Tested with an Debian Live Image, Resume after suspend is still broken. So the U9311x ist not usable under Linux.

Please consider that others Brands of Business-Laptops (like HP, Dell and Lenovo) support Linux, especially with fwupdate:

(Yes, the Lifebook E and U75.. are listed there, by the way)

Fujitsu Hardware has always been a good choice in the past to run Linux...
