My notebook is AH531/GFO with Windows 10 Pro. Original WiFi card on my notebook was Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1030. I replaced this card for Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260. Everything was ok for 4 months. Some days ago Bluetooth of 7260 was broken - WiFi was working. Drivers were reinstalled but didn´t solve the problem. In this fact I replaced for the old 1030. BT and WiFi works. I thought that 7260 card is broken. No errors on OS but I can´t connect my BT mouse or mobile phone.

I decided to replace card for AX3000HMW - the chinese version of AX200 for mini PCI-e. When I installed this card it suprisly me - bluetooth works but WiFI don´t. In device manager is showed code 10 as on attached screenshot. I was checking both cards - 7260 and AX200 in Dell Latitude E6520. Any problems with both cards - BT and WiFI works perfectly. I suspected the OS registry or other is failed. At the next step I replaced HDD from Dell to my AH531/GFO. Unfortunately the code 10 happend.

I have no idea what I can do to use 7260 or AX200 card. Could you take me some advices?

@Siema_CoTam my only idea is check if you need to activate the WiFi card somehow. I remember when I replaced the original WiFi card for an Intel 3160 it wouldn't work under Linux at all, and I had to activate it under MS Windows.
I don't remember the exact process, asking Auntie Google might help.

@daroca, thank you for your answer. I'm searching how to solve problem with AX200.

I repaired BT in 7260 by app "Bluetooth Tools Command Prompt" by deleting all paired devices. BT and WiFi works on 7260 again.

The one more question. Anybody tried to take i7 3xxxQM Ivy Bridge to AH531 or AH531/GFO?

Hey, guys. Do you think a potential GPU upgrade for the AH531 (the one without GT 525M) could work to get the GT 525M by swapping the motherboard from the GFO version?
Seemingly it's not that much better off, but it has better OpenGL and DirectX support, so...

Hi, gays! I plan to upgrade my old AH531 with Intel Celeron B800, 1500 MHz (15 x 100)
I read the thread and made a small plan:
i7-2640M,
RAM 16 GB DDR3(2 x 8 GB),
500GB 2.5" Samsung 870 EVO
Can I upgrade if Celeron B800 is currently installed? This thread only mentions i3 or i7.

Sorry I haven't followed this thread for quite some time.
All the specs regarding RAM and CPUs mentioned above seem to max out this lovely piece of hardware.
All unanswered questions will remain so. I haven't pursued any other mods. And I'm still happy with my AH531 as it is.
And this old work horse is still running. Do let me know if you're still running yours :)

Good afternoon, there was a 4gb Samsung memory, it turned out to be replaced with 2x8gb/1333/1.5v on VKLO from Aliexpress, it turned out to be 16gb with an i3 2350m processor, it works, I advise. Now I want to replace a 2-core processor with a 4-core one, tell me what difficulties I may encounter? maybe someone has already done it. I am considering i7 2670qm and i7 2860qm. What problems can there be with the bios? and where can I find its update? thanks

Hi @denismysko,

my AH531 is running with the i7-2670QM CPU, I just swapped it in, and it simply worked. No BIOS issues. Just go to the first page of this thread, we discussed various CPUs there already.

It's been a couple of years since I upgraded the BIOS, so I'd suggest you check on the official Fujitsu page. That's where I found it. If it's not there any longer, maybe you should use your most preferred search engine to find it.

Wishing you best of success!

Thank you for your answer, I have already read about your success, you have assembled a very good car, unfortunately there is no information about the bios on the ah531 on the fujitsu website right now and I do not know where to find it, maybe you have any sources? thanks

Hi guys.
Thank you for all your support.
I've just succesfully upgrade my AH531 laptop to 16 GB of RAM.
Looking forward to the next upgrade : I7-2640M processor and a 240 GB SSD.
Already the laptop feels "younger and stronger"

Hello blokes, I'm looking to extend the life further of this laptop, and in regards to the CPU, considering that there are more powerful CPUs in the Socket G2 / Socket rPGA988B, like the i7-3940XM, can I be enlightened as to why this kind of CPUs in the 3rd generation might not work with this laptop? Or they might work and has limits?
