Lifebook nh570 2nd HDD/ssd

Postby larsstave » Fri Feb 22, 2013 22:25

Hello, i bought a fujitsu lifebook nh570 laptop not so long ago. The pc got two hdd bays, and after alot of downloading/installing i found out that i wanted to use the second hdd bay for storage and the frist for a solide state drive. But the sata connector for the hard drive is not there. It is only a green electronic plate with a flat sata (http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m72/ ... G_0835.jpg almost like this one, other than the fact that i got 7 and 15 pins and not all togheter like in the picture but in two groups.) Do anybody got the same problem or know where i can buy a sata connector? i know how to solder it on but is that necassary? cant i just plug it into? please help me, and thanks to all the help i can get! :)

if your serial number starts YL7D you have the compartment but no gubbins to motherboard.
if your serial number starts YL7C (Ext VGA) this has the ability to fit a 2nd hdd.

I suspect you have YL7D

Hello,

My serial number is YL7C006661 but it does not recognize the second SSD/HDD.
Could you advise why?

Best Regards

Real Cinema Notebook!

Second HDD/SSD is only applicable if this Lifebook equipped with NVidea Gfx.
If Intel Gfx (integrated grafic) then not, sorry.
