How to get passed the no master boot HDD detected screen ?

Postby corporal_Canada » Mon Sep 30, 2024 18:37

I currently have a Fujitsu A553/H
I removed the original laptop hdd and tried to replace it with a ssd of equal size, it kept saying no master boot record not detected from that moment so i assumed that the laptop is too old to handle ssd so i gave up and put back the original hdd but the message will not go away uneven if i boot by trying to enter bios or boot menu, nothing works as if the keyboard hates me or It is stuck in Japanese mode as i reside in the philippines, the up and down keys do not function

Check HDD Connection: Ensure the HDD is securely connected.
Enter BIOS: Use keys like F2, Del, F12, or Esc on startup. If laptop keys don’t work, try an external USB keyboard.
Set Boot Order: In BIOS, set the HDD as the primary boot device.
Reset BIOS: Look for “Load Default Settings” in BIOS, save, and exit.
Repair MBR: Use a bootable Windows USB, go to the command prompt, and run:
bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot
bootrec /scanos
bootrec /rebuildbcd
Test SSD: Try reformatting the SSD with a clean OS if you still want to use it.
