Wireless Has Stopped Working

Postby underthebluegumtree » Mon Apr 02, 2012 14:20

I have an Esprimo V6535. Last night my laptop shut down as the battery ran out. When I rebooted, I had lost the wireless connection. Neither the Wi-Fi switch on the front of the computer nor Fn/F1 is working. I have installed Launch Manager but this has made no difference. I have also reinstalled the Wi-fi drivers and checked the BIOS screen which says that Wi-fi is enabled. The Device Manager is not suggesting any problems with the network adapters. Other devices can connect to the wireless network so it is definitely a problem with the laptop. I am at a loss for what to try next. Please help!

installing launch manager means when you press FN+F1 an activation box appears.
If no box appears try manualy starting it.
The location is here:
C:\program files\launchmanager then double click wisWBset.exe (is the launcher)

if no joy - try loading bios defaults.

Just wanted to say thank you. Your email made me realise that Launch Manager had not installed correctly under Program Files. I reinstalled and now the Fn/F1 buttons work and I was able to turn on the Wi-fi. Problem solved
