Dear users of this forum!
I have difficulties with FSC mainboards and ask for hints and poeces of advice.
Currently I am busy with testing some mainboards of the type Fujitsu Siemens D1567-C33. The ones normal in function give an acoustical signal to hear and via VGA output the picture signal of the booting BIOS. This is pleasant.
Unfortunately two ones remain silent: There is no reporting tone, instead of it the Intel circuit SL73Z. located next to both the S-ATA very quick very intensely, which is not the case with the mainboards normal in function (the Intel circuit of these both ones remains cool and on room temperature). The cooling block of the CPU heatens also, but that's all: The rest keeps quiet and without visible function.
There is a third one: There comes an normal acoustical Signal and BIOS is to be seen via VGA, but the Intel circuit SL73Z heatens up and becomes hot.
All the three ones have in common, that, when the RAM is removed, a different, but identical report tone (beeping) can be heard. At least the reporting routines seem to be in function normally.
Which malfunction/defect could that be and – important for me – how can I repair that?
I would be glad fpr helpful answers. Thanks in advance for your hints!
