Problem with CONNECTBIRD Wireless LAN USB

Postby » Thu Jun 10, 2004 18:33

I have a Scaleo 800xi Pentium 4 3.06GHz HT that talks to a Gigaset SE 105 dsl/cable router via CONNECTBIRD Wireless LAN USB adapter. When hyperthreading (HT) is turned on, the CONNECTBIRD driver hangs the system and only a reboot helps. So I'm now running effectively at half steam with HT turned off. Does anybody (in particular Fujitsu-Siemens if they come across this post) have a remedy? The driver version is 1.7.29.0, the date is 20.10.2001. Is any later version available and, if yes, where?
Thank you in advance
branko

Interestingly enough, this version is supplied on the original CD-ROM and it effectively gets installed in the first installation step (when only drivers are installed). When the Setup utility is installed in the second step, however, the installer asks whether the driver should be overwritten, and if one answers Yes Iwhich I obviously did) the wrong version gets installed over the less wrong one.
So I keep running on, OK, three-quarter steam.
