Hi to all from Italy,
we have a Primergy 470 equipped with a DAC960PRL RAID controller and 3 disks.
After a long work with Linux and a RAID-3 configuration , we need now to rebuild with windows and (most important) reconfigure for a RAID-5.
After saving the old configuration, it's impossible for us enter in the RAID configuration, but all the remaining controller operation respond as well and the device scan give a correct light sequence on the disks.
We tried to:
- make it with GAM in the ServerStart CD;
- make it with the rommed controller utility;
- make it with the dos controller utility;
- download from LsiLogic the last controller BIOS, and utility, making the firmware upgrade successfully;
- swapping the disks sequence;
- performing the disks low level formatting.
After 3 days we are "a little" desperates...
Any help will be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance
--
Francesco Garganese
FG software
PS: if this can be useful, the primergy have
Phoenix BIOS version 4.06 rev. 1.08.1031
[This message has been edited by fgarganese (edited 17 November 2005).]
