Primergy 470 & Mylex-Raid 960

The above hardware-couple was running for<BR>years under WinNT4-Server before a software-<BR>systemcrash was the reason for a new installation.<P>Using a WinNT4-Server-CD now leeds to the<BR>error "0x0000007b inaccessible boot device".<BR>(An installation with W2K and Debian-Linux <BR> worked fine, but i HAVE TO use WinNT4.)<P>I tried :<BR>- Mylex-Drivers 1.08, 2.00 and 4.06 for NT4<BR>- Killing the Raid5 and building up a <BR> complete new Raid5<BR>- FDISK /MBR<BR>- Changing the Mylex-Controller<P>All this doesn´t seem to work. :-(<P>Any one got another idea for me ... ? =8-/

it sounds crazy but try the following:<P>do NOT boot from the Windows NT CD. Use the three floppy disks instead. This should solve your problem
