Primergy RX600 OS Install Problem

Postby » Tue Sep 14, 2004 9:44

Hi,
We are trying to install Windows 2000 on Primergy RX600 server using the Fujitsu CDs.
The OS Installation process starts and copies the files in to the disk. When we restart the computer after the file-copy portion of OS Setup, we receive the following error message:
Operating system not found.
We are thinking that the BIOS is not configuring the SCSI disks.
Anyone has any idea on this behaviour ?
Thanks & Regards,
Sasidhar

Hi Sasidhar,
Please check if the server is using a RAID card for the disks. The raid card should be in BOOT enabled mode. Kindly check it by entering the RAID BIOS.
If the disks were directly connected to onboard SCSI controller, kindly check if the SCSI controller BIOS has been enabled to boot upon startup.
Also check if the SCSI card or RAID card you are using is compatible with the machine.

peri

quote:
Originally posted by Sasidhar:
Hi,
We are trying to install Windows 2000 on Primergy RX600 server using the Fujitsu CDs.
The OS Installation process starts and copies the files in to the disk.
