RX100: 48 bit disk access in W2k3

Postby WiLand » Fri Jul 23, 2004 6:58

My company just buyed RX100 (SN: YBDR010911).
It have ATA-RAID controller FastTrack TX2 with BIOS ver. 2.30.0064.103.
We installed additional HDD.
It's 160Gb Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 (6Y160P0).
Second RAID array for this HDD only was created with TX2's BIOS setup utility which shows real size of array (160Gb).
After beginning installation of OS (Windows Server 2003) ServerStart shows only 128Gb on that disk. I think it was because of disabled 48 bit disk access by default in Windows XP which is used with ServerStart.
But when Windows Server 2003 was successfully installed I saw in Disk Manager that size of array is still 128Gb. Server 2003 uses 48 bit disk access by default so I think this situation can be resolved with new driver for FastTrack TX2, because drivers that comes in bundle with RX100 dated 11-apr-2003 (ver. And I was really disapointed with official WEB-sites of Fujitsu-Siemens and Promise. There is no any driver required by me there.
Please inform me about availability of such driver or alternative solution of my problem.
mailto: iveliev@wiland.ru
