TX150 serverstart

Postby » Thu Jun 03, 2004 14:19

I've recently recieved a TX150 Server which did not come with any software or driver cd's.
I've managed to get a hold of a serverstart cd, which I've recieved from the dutch fujitsu/siemens support desk. The problem is now is that it gives me an error when I want to make a bootable disk. It says it's missing srvstart.biz.
Without this disk I can't install windows 2003 standard on my adaptec scsi(raid)setup and neither can I configure my raid setup.(correct me if I'm wrong)
The support desk hasn't come back with a solution, and I'm hoping maybe someone here can help me out. I've got as far as making my own boot disk, since it gives you this option aswel but when I want to extract the serverstart.biz file on a disk it gives me back the error that the file is too large (1,47mb)
Hoping to hear from you guys asap
Regards,
Peter

Hi there,
I'm wondering, you're trying to create a bootable diskette to install your server.
But why should you do this? (apart from the possibility to do so).
The ServerStart CD is bootable itself and guides you through the whole installation.
The diskette which needs to be created is nothing else than a status diskette, telling the ServerStart cd from where to start from after a reboot.
You can also have a look on the following URL for more info:
http://manuals.fujitsu-siemens.com/primergyservers.html
Have fun.
Data.
