Postby Gunsten » Wed May 15, 2002 9:13

Is it availible for download?
The problem is that I have run serverstart in both guided mode and Expert mode, and w2k gives blue screen everytime it boths (After about a minute). I tryed to flash the BIOS but it doesn't help.
Has anyone else had this problem with F200? What can I do about it?

Hi Gunsten,
the ServerStart CD is not available as full CD download. This is an license problem with the mini-NT from Microsoft. There is only an online version to get latest FW, BIOS, ...
You can find it here: http://www.fsc-pc.de/server/serverstart/en/default_web.htm
Did you update your BIOS or only "try" to update your BIOS
What is your current version, the latest is
V4.06 R1.02.
Can you provide more information about the Bluescreen (Error Code, Filename, ...)?
Did you install additional hardware components that are not supported by the ServerStart CD ???
Please can you give me an overview of your hardware configuration ???
Try to boot the system with the minimal hardware components, only with harddisk controller ...
Please let me know if it was helpful.
best regards,
ToDa
Hi, thanks for the fast reply.
I get the following error:
"A driver has corrupted the Memory Managment system PTEs.
*** Address 8046A03E at 80400000, DateStamp 384d5a76 - ntoskrnl.exe"

I have not installed any, non-supported HardWare. I just unpacked it, plugged in and run the ServerStart CD included. But I have a S30 external raid connected, it came in the package. And I couldn't find any updates for that in: http://www.fsc-pc.de/support/softwareassist_e.asp
And I have BIOS V4.06 R1.02
Please let me know if there are any drivers I need to install.
Regards, Ronnie

Tell me what kind of harddisk/RAID controller do you use.
On which way do you connect the S30 to the F200, with the onboard U160 LVD controller or with an other SCSI controller ???
Did this controller recognize the harddisks placed in the S30 ???
Did you try to start up without S30 ???
... Well I've connected the S30 with "RAID-Ctrl,Mylex,4xU160 SCSI,BBU,128MB PCI-Ctrl".
And iv'e set up the Raid in Tools - Raid Tools on the ServerStart CD.
On the S30 there are 7 disks, so ive set up 6 of them with raid 5. Using the last as hotSpare. And the 2 internal disk as mirroring. They are both connected to U160. So yes, the controller found the disks.
And then I created the neccesarry partionions as instructed in the Guide on ServerStart. So there shouldn't be any problem there.
Ive tryed rebooting with S30 disconnected (Same problem).
Do you think I need to re-install, and have the S30 disconnected? Could that help?
//R.

I´m not really sure and I can give no guarantee that a new installation of W2k can solve the problem.
But I would give them a try, I think there is no other way to find a solution
I can not believe that FSC deliver a Primergy with a CD that are not released for use with this system !?
Another way is to contact FSC to find out if there are any restrictions with this ServerStart CD in combination with the S30.
Here you´ll find a helpdesk contact list: http://service.fujitsu-siemens.com/support/helpdesk/
Do you try to boot W2k with the F8 option in the "Protected Mode" ???
Here you have the chance to find out which driver is the problem by select them separately on startup.
...
