STORAGEBIRD LAN - incorrect filestamp

Postby Lucien1 » Mon Apr 23, 2007 19:54

My question is related to a Storagebird Lan. Since we switched from winter to summer time, all files saved on the Storagebird are 'time shifted'.
Example : when I copy a file from any PC to the Storagebird, the file on the Storagebird has a time stamp Time+1 compared to the time stamp on the PC.
A copy from any PC on any PC (or USB key) on the LAN does not change the time stamp.

All the PCs, the router and the Storagebird are set to GMT+1.

The firmware on the Storagebird is HDD007-0802 (the latest apparently)

Help is needed    As it is, synchronizing is impossible !

Many thanks

Storagebird LAN V1 (160 GB)?
Which setting did you choose in the time setup of the device, did you check the "daylight saving time" box or uncheck?
I did some tests here and I found that the box should better be unchecked, even during daylight saving time. If I uncheck the box, the time and date is ok when I create new objects on the NAS. Exsting files that are copied should keep the old timestamp in any case.

Hello,

Thanks for your question. In fact, I expected an answer from Fujitsu-Siemens. I did not only post to this foru but had also 2 phone contacts with something called helpdesk. No follow up, no assistance, ...
As I could not wait, I bought a new device from a different brand and put the Siemens product in the bin !

I will certainly make the necessary promotion ...
