Critical error logged to server management TX150 S2

Postby tomasz » Wed Dec 19, 2012 15:16

Hi All,

I've got the PRIMERGY TX150 S2 with the SUSE 12.2 on the board. It was fully prepared server put on hold for a couple of weeks. Today when I turned it on I got the following error at the start:

"Critical error logged to server management processor - System Halted"

Nothing was changed in the configuration of Server and nothing was installed since last good run.

I googled a little bit but the only information I found is the DOS error without explanation.

Has anybody had similar problem with it?

Thanks,

Tomasz

How many is "couple of weeks", and where and in which condition was it "put on hold"?

If it was physically moved, you might want to check and reseat every single component inside, including PCI cards, RAM modules, CPU, ...

You also might want to check the connection of the operating panel, as your search engine use probably also directed you to the info that this message is "normal", if, for whatever reason, the NMI signal is constantly given.

Thanks for reply,

The SCSI card was the problem. After removing it server is back.
