Econel 200 & PCI Scsi

I have installed an Adaptec 29160 scsi card in a PCI slot. This does have a boot bios and, should be detected at startup. The system does not detect it. Any clues? I have also tried an Adaptec 2940 and, this is also not detected. It has to be installed in the PCI card and, not PCI-X due to the O/S being installed NetWare 4.11

I don't know whether you already solved the problem, but here goes the hint:

Take a look at the system board's BIOS settings, Advanced tab, PCI configuration, PCI slot configuration, Option ROM scan. It's probably disabled for the slot you installed your card to.

Please keep in mind that this parameter only disables the controller's boot option, not the slot itself. So the controller can be used in the OS after loading the appropriate driver, even when this parameter is set to disabled.

Thanks. I had found the solution and, thought I had posted this? Someone emailed me as they had the same problem and, I'm sure I did post the solution! Strange.
