DVDRW failure on Amilo L1300

just wondering if someone can help, i have an amilo L1300 with a qsi dvdrw sdw-041 DVDRW drive i have updated the firmware to DU07 but can still not read or write dvds.<P>nero just sames that the dive is either not ready or no media has been inserted. I am running windows xp home that came with the notebook and nero 6, i have not added anything to the notebook except the firmware update, i was reading a similar problem at cdfreaks forum and they suggested updating the firmware so i followed suit.<P>thanks in advance for any help given<P>Rattz
