virtual screen + touchscreen (P1510)

Postby VJ » Tue Feb 14, 2006 16:06

Hello,

I recently got my P1510, and do like the device.

I have tried setting the device to 1024x768, which works and behaves as a larger virtual desktop that scrolls. 8)
But the touchscreen is completely useless: it maps the corners to the corners of the desktop, not to those of the panel.
(this can be clearly seen when calibrating the display; just use the trackpoint to scroll up/down)

Am I doing something wrong, or is this the way it works?

Hello VJ,
That's the way it works. The touch screen has a resolution of 1024x600, so it's not possible to get him doing more. It's not a digitizer like the Stylistics have.

Well, I would have expected the touchscreen to be mapped to the visible portion of the display.
Just like the diplay acts as a 'window' for the entire resolution, the touchscreen could have been similar. :)

Ah well, at least it works as it should... :D
