RAM upgrade for Euroline PC

Postby wrinklysteve » Thu Jul 30, 2009 15:32

Greetings. A friend has in regular use a Euroline PC bought in 1992. I think it's the P4 1.5GHz model. It is now, not surprisingly, rather slow. It still has its original 256MB of RAM. Could someone please tell me with what spec RAM I can upgrade it for him - and yes, I could take the case off but he lives at some distance. Many thanks.

Hi,

the device is not from 1992 ...
So far, it could be that there is RAMBUS (RDRAM) inside or SDRAM. Please tell us what Mainboard is inside or just attach a foto of the cabinet opened.

Regards,
Alex

Thanks Alex. I'll check the purchase date with the owner - obvious thing to do is to open the case when I can get round there again. If it's SDRAM I've got some, RAMBUS is something else!
