Unknown desktop model

Postby jose_malaga » Mon Jan 22, 2007 11:41

Hi all,

I'm trying to expand the memory of a Fujitsu desktop from a friend, who does not have any documentation about the hardware (all I could find out is that the machine has a PII 400MH 64MB)

Could anybody please help me to:

-Identify the PC model. It's an horizontal box that says "Fujitsu" on the left, is it any model number underneath the box?

-Get manuals/documentation about the hardware and how to open the house since it's not the typical 4-screw that a child can open, it seems to be protected somehow and I don't want to force it

Thanks a lot in advance!

A sticker must be somewhere on the box. There are model name and (more important) serial number on it.
Of course, if this is not just a box from F-S, but a complete system.

I have stickers on top of a laying desktop (Esprimo) and on back panel (under power unit vents) of a standing PC (Scaleo P).

Hi, thanks a lot for your reply.

That's what the sticker says:

Model V: VD-695
Power: 100-240 V
Manufactured: November 1998
V 100-120
200-240
Hz: 50-60
A Max 5.0.3.0

So the model is VD-695, how can I get documentation about it? All I need actually is to remove the box and add more memory modules.

Thanks!

Does the pc say Fujitsu-Siemens or Fujitsu

If it just says Fujitsu then it is not an FSC pc, Fujitsu is a seperate company to FSC and operates mainly from Japan.

Download this, it will scan your bios and show any Serial or Ident number. If it does not show one then the pc is Fujitsu and you will need to go to their website to confirm the model.

I just tried that link to download serial.exe. It says not available. But I have a FS scaleo T.
Never mind.

I guess, you found the sticked on the back side of your monitor, didn't you? :) Try to find one on the processor box.

Sorry, I don't know about this model, but just for your information:

Fujitsu Siemens Computers was founded on October 1st 1999.

If the computer was produced in 1998 its either a Fujitsu or a Siemens PC. For both, the drivers should be available on the download pages.

Birgit
