wireless keyboard on Scenic P320

Postby denys06 » Thu Aug 04, 2011 20:45

Hello,
I am just trying to make a wireless keyboard (MicroSoft Wireless Multimedia Keyboard 1.1) working on a Fujitsu Siemens P320 (YB3E009828).
:( But it seems the keyboard is not recognized at boot : 2 bits + message "0211 : Keyboard error, Press <F1> to resume , <F2> to Setup".
:) For info, the wireless kb works fine if a PS/2 kb is also connected during the boot, but it's not actually what I would wish to do.
Anyone would advise ?
Thx.

Make sure you go into bios and check:
Peripheral Configuration:
USB Host Controller Enabled
USB 2.0 Host Controller Enabled
USB Legacy Support Disabled by default the usb legacy is disabled you must ENABLE this option.

Save and exit
done

Thank you Sabrex for your answer...
 However those 3 options about USB were already all 3 set to "enable" in the BIOS.

PB SOLVED
To whoever it may concern : the USB cable of the base has to be plugged into a USB connector of the motherboard, not on another USB plug, for instance on a PCI extension card.
