Hi, after a quick panic first thing this morning, I wonder if anyone can give me some help please....
My PC (running XP professional) is left on permanently. When I tried to use it first think this morning nothing would happen!
i.e. screen blank and no apparent response to keyboard or mouse movement. The green LED adjacent to standby switch was on.
I tried to turn system off by holding in standby switch for several seconds - nothing happened.
I disconnected the power lead and left it for 15 minutes.
When was power re-connected the green LED illuminated but switch did nothing.
The power supply fan is not running.
Is it likely to be power supply problem - LED is on but psu fan isn't?
Any advice would be welcome.
