Hello I would like to order a XP PRO Disc to reinstall XP on my new HDD (old one failed and no Disc :(

Does anyone have a direct number/E-Mail for this?

I tried the online support form but did not get a confirmation message, and I am not going to pay premium rate-telephone number just because machine out of warranty.

Thanks for your help

I'm certain thy don't. The responce above is the only one company Ive seen selling recovery disc's. The only other option is to buy XPpro. Buy an OEM version of XP pro £83 from Ebuyer.com. OEM meens it is tied to your mobo, and you wont get any suport from Microsoft. :P

gonna add F-J to DNB List (DoNotBuy)

1, They failed to produce a Bios upgrade for my other F-J machine

2, No discs!

I wanted a Disc so that I could use the COA, but alas it looks like a different version will now have to be used.

As far as I am concerned Fujitsu Siemens do supply recovery disks & drivers disks.

I got them with the Scaleo T, & 600 I bought a few years back. I got a scaleo for my grandaughter from ebay, that came with recovery disks.

Who did you buy it from? PC World?
Get back on to the retailer.

I use the same recovery disk for my scaleo T, scenic E600, Laptop E7010. If you want a copy of XP Home, let me know.

"I wanted a Disc so that I could use the COA, but alas it looks like a different version will now have to be used"

From what I understand about licenses & COA. The COA will be on a label on top of the pc. This will be tied to that hardware. With recovery disks of any manufacturer, they will be tied to that machine. When you install from a fs recovery disk, it will not ask you to activate, it is done automatically.
If you try to use a fs recovery disk on a non fs pc, it will ask you to activate. And it will fail.
The license will be "in" the machine, to find that use Rockxp or Magicjelly bean.

I'm not sure what you are after, but as I said if you want a copy of home for a fs pc, let me know.

hi bubblegum thought you might be the owner of that genner site!

I was nervous about ordering from them, the website looks unprofessional.

the machine had no HDD (died) but does have XP Pro COA (sticker on top of machine, so just wanted the install/recovery media for it.

Some recovery systems need the old drive (or image of) so it's important that this Cd works with fresh HDD.
