BIOS ROM checksum error

Hello i got the problem:

Award Bootlock BIOS v1.0
Copyright (c)2000,Award Software, Inc.

BIOS ROM checksum error

Detecting floppy drive A media...
INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER


I got the BIOS version : 8SGXL FS2 F5
Which BIOS update do you prefer?

Try resetting BIOS to default.
Does the machine have a flopp drive??

yes it has a floppy drive,
what do you mean by resetting BIOS to default ?
if the error shows up i cant use F8 to came in the BIOS

Normally f2 or del but poss f8 at the first screen will get you into the BIOS or CMOS settings. Normally there will a series of menus and normally in the exit menu you will see something like "get default settings" or "Load Optimal Settings".

Yeah i Tried to get into bios with F8 and just Tried F2 and del, but i wont work.
the first screen is the error so i cant get into bios.

Anyone knows a sollution for this error ??

You might want to try to clear the CMOS. If you have the manual for the motherboard it should show you where the jumper is and how to do it. This is a long shot.

Hi i found the CMOS on my motherboard there 3 pins and i say's 1-2 clear CMOS and 2-3 normal.what do i have to do now ?

Hmm normally machine off. move the jumper to 2-3 for about 15sec then back to 1-2 and thats it.
