Upgrading to SSD for H250 with Windows XP

Postby vmarian » Thu Jan 06, 2011 8:09

Hi,

I own a Celsius H250 with Windows XP installed.
I think upgrading my HDD to an SSD (Intel X-25 M) by cloning the entire disk.
Does somebody have experince with this? If yes, do you observe a gain in performance when booting or launching applications?
Thank you.

im running an SSD but on W7 and the difference is amazing. i know Windows 7 auto disables HDD defrag just make sure you disable any defrag options (ssd uses a controller and defrag would be bad for ssd)

SSD = awesome overall and one of the best perfomance gains ever i think it takes 10 secs for me to see the desktop and instant opening of apps.

heres a little guide although is from ocz

Do you have a H250 with Windows 7 installed? I know Celsius H250 does not officially support Windows 7.

I think the Intel X-25M of 160GB should be fine for me.
