[H270] Which car / air adapter can I buy for my H270?

Postby Joovilhar » Thu Apr 02, 2009 16:11

I've seen a number of FSC car/air adapters, and I own one for my S7020. It's come in very handy on many occasions when I was with my car and laptop, but without mains power. I even managed to use it with an RV back in 2007 when I went on a tour of California, and it was very handy to just plug my laptop into a 12v socket and use it as if it were plugged into the mains.

However, I cannot find any car/air adapters for the H270. Unlike the H250 before it, the H270 requires a 120W power supply - and the biggest car/air adapter I have seen is a 100W model (S26391-F2613-L600). What I want to know is, is this device suitable for the H265/H270, or do I need to buy a third-party unit? Or do I need to wait for Fujitsu-Siemens to wake up and produce one of their own?

I wouldn't go for any of the Fujitsu Adapters - For me a power inverter that has an 220v outlet does the job much better, is much cheaper und more flexible (you can even charge your mobile or connect anything else to it)

just have a look here:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-AC-Anywhere-Power-Inverter/dp/B000HEYTR4
(in other countries it has different socket types)
