[Celsius H270]

Postby frada » Thu Nov 20, 2008 15:33

Hi all,

I am new to this forum; I would like to buy one Celsius H270 mobile workstation for professional CAD-EDA applications, however I am in doubt about some detail in its configuration.

I downloaded the last Fujitsu-Siemens' End User Price List (november 2008) and PC-Architect application v. 8.1.0 and I updated its databases just this morning.

My problem is about the graphis subsystem of Celsius H270 workstations; in the technical descripription of the base unit available in the PC Architect application the video board is an NVidia Quadro FX770 w/ 512 MB of dedicated video memory. This seems to be a preinstalled video card common to all workstations of H270 series; moreover PC-Architect does not allow any modification of the graphic subsystem (see the attached PC-Architect screen shot).

However when I analyze the configurations of the italian resellers/distributors of Celsius H270 I see that some configurations comprise the Quadro FX570 and some other the Quadro FX770 video board but in all cases the video memory is limited to only 256 MB!

Please, it is possible to obtain some official notice about the base configuration of the Celsius H270?

Is there someone that has already bought one of this notebooks who can help me?

Thank you in advance for any answer.

Hi,

CELSIUS H265 and CELSIUS H270 always have a NVidia Quadro FX770M, CELSIUS H265 with 256 MB VRAM and CELSIUS H270 with 512 MB VRAM.

Kind regards
Birgit
