[H240] resolution issue

Postby adv_dani » Wed Dec 06, 2006 23:00

I just bought an Celsius H240. The only resolution for wide screen is 1920 x 1200. At this resolution the imige is cristal and very good.

Unfortunately everything is too small.

I tried to change the resolution to a smaller one, but in properties I was not able to find another "wide" resolution, ony 4:3 ones. The resolution that I have are:
800x600
1024x768
1152x864
1280x768
1280x1024
1600x1200
1920x1200
2048x1536

If I'm useing other resolution but 1920x1200, the image is not clear and is deformated.

Did anyone know what can I do to solve this issue?

Thank you in advance for your help.

hi,
i also have a new h240. When I change the reslution for example to 1600x1200 my screen is not wide but the picture is not deformated. Under not wide i mean there are black two black columns on both sides of the screen.

Is your screen always wide also when your resolution is normal?

BTW
1. is your laptop always so hot on the left side? my fan is always running and i assume that the temp is min 50-60°C.

2. Did you already try to play a dvd or normal video? When I run a dvd for the first time, the laptop froze suddenly with whistling sound and nothing helped except hard reset. It happen only randomly but I don't know what is the reason.

Regards,
Boris

Hi,
I also have a H240 and also had these problems,

the Temperature issue is solved with newest Bios Ver. 1.15 I think.

I increased the font size in Windows and now I am fine with 1920x1200.
