Hello,
I'm trying to install Ubuntu 8.04 (I also tried with Ubuntu 9.10) on my new Celsius M470 workstation, from an Ubuntu LiveCD.
I get a problem when trying to "try Ubuntu, without any change on my computer".
The operating system loading is blocked on "Loading hardware drivers" for some minutes, until it fails.
The loading process continues and Ubuntu starts, but I can't access to network.
If I choose to install Ubuntu from the LiveCD, I get the same behaviour.
Ubuntu is installed but it takes a few minutes to load hardware drivers (and fails), and I can't access to network.
Of course, I tried this LiveCD on other computers (not Fujitsu Siemens models) and everything works fine. So I can say that the LiveCD is not corrupted.
Do you think that this problem can comes from the BIOS version of my system (6.00 R1.07.2778.B1) ?
If yes, how can I update the BIOS version ?
If no, do you have any clue that can help me to install Ubuntu on this workstation ?
