Thanks for your reply. I am just very interesting why the D2533 can not support all other 23xx CPU. It's a just TYAN S2195-E based MB with different super io chipset that make it so hard to support? I think it's the clock generator chipset responsed for CPU clock, so we JUST need to update the BIOS and set it up right?
I try to run Vmware ESXi 3.5 on the V840 but it hangs up after ESXi boot code initialized some hardware. I have tried every settings in the BIOS but it still can not work. Bellowing is my test configuration:
1. Single CPU, SATA HDD attached to first(blue) onboard SATA port and DVDROM attached to 2nd SATA port with the IDE settings in BIOS.
2. Dual CPU, SATA HDD attached to first onboard SAS port and DVDROM attached to 1st SATA port with SAS enabled and IDE settings in BIOS.
I boot ESXi from an USB thumb as hard disk(It seems ESXi does not like the onboard SATA even with IDE settings in D2533's BIOS).
I believe there're some bugs in the D2533's BIOS even in the lastest version 1.08.2533. So give us a chance to make life easy, ok?
