Hello. My "hl-dt-st dvdram gsa-h60n" drive has stopped being recognized by Vista. I can´t boot the pc with this drive. I can´t access to it from Vista neither.
I can see everythig is OK under Devices Manager but no way to access it. Tried a new complete install of Windows 7 onte another disc, but the same issues. I could do it booting from a USB pendrive
Into the bios, it is recognized but, even with the right boot sequence (or even F12) I can´t boot the pc with a bootable CD/DVD (Tried XP/VISTA/W7 original discs).
I can´t access the SATA controller menu in the bios menu (maybe it is protected) to try setting it to IDE. Is there any way to get access to this menu?
Do I need to use a floppy to configure this? Is this BIOS protected to avoid booting the system up from a DVD?
Hopping you can help me. Thanks
