Really a disk error ?

Postby fibag21 » Mon Aug 10, 2009 11:03

Hi,

I've a rather old (for a PC) ESPRIMO P5905 whose HDD has been replaced in March this year. Since a few weeks however, I regularly had problems booting. Now, it does not boot anymore and comes up with a POST error 200: Failure fixed disk 1.

I ran system diagnostic and receive a DIFS Code 7XUF-YEZZ-38RVQ.

I'd like to make sure this code really means HDD problem, before changing the disk and being confronted with another failure.

Any hint welcome.

Hi,

I did it and they advised to check with a GParted CD. However, now, I'm even not able to boot on CD/DVD. SATA disk is not seen from the BIOS. I'm "überfragt" !!

Hi,

please disconnect the HDD and check if booting from CD is possible again.
