[P2410] How to put a new GFX card?

Postby SlisheR » Fri Aug 01, 2008 23:04

Hello there.
I have been shopping today and thought to get myself a new graphics card.
Bought a NVIDIA card for 90 euros, but that doesn't matter...
I found out that I have no AGP slot to put the card in, since my graphics card is integrated (NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE).
There are two free white slots, but I think those are TV-Slots. The AGP slot has to be brown.
Could anyone help me? Thanks in advance!

Edit: some pictures of my motherboard:
Well here are some pictures of my motherboard and stuff...

It looks like you have a BTX form motherbard which is like a mirror version of the ATX motherboard (which is more common). The two white slots are PCI slots. If there are no AGP or PCI-E slots, you cannot install graphics card that use either of those two interfaces. However, you could get yourself a PCI graphics card, but the bandwidth across PCI is smaller than AGP and PCI-E. However, a fast PCI graphics card with dedicated video memory such as the ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO would still be faster than onboard graphics.

Thanks for the info.
The link in your post, does that GFX card go into my PCI slot and work fine?
Because I'm in need of a good gaming card, and would love one that will run Battlefield 2 in high quality.
Thanks in advance :)
