[P5700] not read DVD

Good day,
ESPRIMO P5700 i915GV Windows XPPro not read DVD. Before 3 month any DVD read, but now none.
Description DVD:
HL DATA Storage
DVD WR TABLE/CD-RW Drive
Model: GSA - 4164B
ROM ver: 1.01
Driver:
HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GSA-4164B 1.7.2001 ver: 5.1.2535.0

CD-ROM read OK.
Where is posible download firmware? I download gsa4164b-1.03.ISO, but I could not view files in *.iso with Virtual CD-ROM.

If you can not read any DVD, including burned by you...
If you did not do anything to your DVD unit (like upgrading firmware or physical replacement, etc.) before...
If you had not installed any software just before DVD started to fail reading DVD disks...
If you just can not see contents of DVD disks and do not receive any error messages or warnings while trying...

...then:
1) Clean your DVD unit (use some cleaning set or clean the lens manually).
2) Your DVD is dead.

If something from assumptions above is wrong, then tell which one.

2. I download gsa4164b-1.03.ISO, but how change firmware?

I clean DVD unit with cleaning set
I uninstall driver in Windows XP, reboot.

DVD unit not read DVD, but CD-ROM read OK.

Ok. If you are eager to change the firmware and the ISO that you are refering to is the firmware, then just burn it on a compatible disk and boot from the burned disk. This should update your firmware. This is usual procedure.

Of course, actual procedure may vary. So, there are always firmaware upgrading manuals somewhere near the place, where you downloaded the ISO.
