Lifebook AH531

Postby Seaview » Mon Jun 04, 2012 13:47

I have purchased a Lifebook AH531. Why does it lock if left for some time and how can I unlock it? My solution was to take the battery out and started again.

I have looked on the on line manual but this problem is not dealt with.

Help please

did you mean the regular windows feature (Operating system) which will lock your user after minutes of inactivity.
Try to enter users password to unlock the system, sometimes this will help :D
Check Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options\System Settings\"Require a password"

PS:try to explain your issue in more detail

Hi first time poster on here, I too have this exact same problem with my lifebook AH531, If for eg I leave my laptop with the lid open it closes down and is impossible to re start unless I dissconect the battery for a few seconds.
I looked here (Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options\System Settings\"Require a password") for a solution and extended close down and sleep times but it still does it.

Any advice please

Could be Hibernate turn it off
Open the Advanced Power Plan Settings for your power plan, and expand Sleep.
Under Hibernate after, set the Setting (Minutes) to Never. (see screenshot)
Under Allow hybrid sleep, set Setting to Off. (see screenshot)
When finished, click on OK. (see screenshot below)

make sure sleep after is set Battery - Never and Plugged in - Never
