E780 wireless button

Postby keefs » Mon May 31, 2010 16:23

I have a Lifebook E780 which is running XP (not moving to W7 yet for various reasons). Everything works perfectly except that I cannot turn the wireless card on/off. I have the application panel utility installed and updated, the other 4 buttons work perfectly, but the wireless button has no application associated with it and therefore does not work.

Does anyone know what command/exe should be referenced for button 5 to allow the wireless to be turned on/off normally?

Thanks in advance

You must install the Software WirelessSelector, then the Wireless-Button is running and open the WirelessSelector!
See user manuel
cit.
Wireless Components key
This application key is used to start the WirelessSelector software. The wireless
components that have been activated in the BIOS Setup can be switched on and off
individually.
