Linux and HDD LED permanent lights

Postby Pawel » Sun Apr 16, 2006 7:44

I have a notebook Fujitsu-Siemens 8010.
After instalation Suse 10.0 , HDD led always lights (system works fine).
Hardware is OK as Windows works on it fine.
There was a problem during instalation: I had to take pci=noacpi or
disable ACPI. If not - Suse weren't able to find HDD and install.
Does anyone know how to fix this LED?
And is it possible to switch ACPI on for all options in Linux?

Seems to be commmon problem for linux drivers. On my Philips CPWNA 100/00 Wi-Fi card led indicators doesn't work , although the card itself works good. Probably you'll have to get used to that. I didn't looked at my Lifebook E6595, but it seems that HDD indicator works all the time (i have LCD screen for indicators, so it's not so visible:)). On my Aurox 11.1 ACPI seems to be working fine, Power button and screen button works without problems.
