New Drivers for Amilo sa 3650

Postby arrostos » Sun Oct 18, 2009 11:29

Well Fujitsu release new drivers for this laptop with cross Display on Win_7 but only support 32bit. On 7_64 is unsupported. I tried on 7_64, but there is a problem. The graphic booster reduce the GPU clock and Memory clock and the fun speed is up for 60-70% same the temperature about 50-60 C.
I hop FCS will release for Win_7_64bit drivers soon.

Hi!
I checked Win7 32bit with this driver but not very satisfied. I experienced the same issues (reduced speed, louder fan) as arrostos but also a 5 % performance loss . :( Around 7800p compared to 8100p in 3dmark06. The main issue seems to be that the PCI-E is running at X8 version 1.1 compared to v2.0 which halves the bus speed... see attachments below.

Please fix these issues! :(

Please fix this problem in windows 7 32bit.
Annoying that I order the windows 7 upgrade from fujitsu for more usable operating system only to find that because of the Fujitsu drivers, my laptop runs hotter, slower and louder.

Some coders head needs to tapped :o

...same here,

the only driver that can be used with win 7 is buggy&the alternatives from vista don't work with the new os

funniest thing, in the german board someone posted an AW from FSC, that Win7 is not officially supported LOL...yeah right I bought a brandnew laptop and additionally payed 30€ for an "FREE" Win7 Upgrade from the same company, and at last no one there is responsible for my support....nice...

post scriptum:

maybe a chance is, that the guys from Acer develope new drivers for their "Ferrari" Netbook, seems like they use exactly the same xgp-interface and in the "Safely Remove Hardware" Section the GraphicBooster is listed as " Acer DynaVivid Dock"....

Just Found This:

GraphicBosster @ Acer Ferrari WORKS even on the internal Display, and with the same 8.631 Driver, so it should work vice versa...we might take a look on Acer's Driver Page from time to time....

Don't forget that, the new driver witch released, was from Acer and not from Fujitsu. So, that is why there is says Acer DynaVivid Dock. If you look and drivers on Acer site, you will find there the same version driver 8.631.

hi,

....thought I got them from the fujitsu site (which means they copied them?)...anyway as long as somebody is developing drivers i don't care about the name :D

By the way, there is one different. Acer using drivers for ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4xxx series and Fujitsu for 3870. On CES 2010 they use Radeon 5830. Is not interesting?

I am currently using catalyst 10.3a drivers and they work fine with GB. Even the pci-e line is 8x 2.0 like it should be and frequencies have also right values. 3DMark06 gives a little under 8000 points. Only feature that does not work is inner boosting, but that does not matter to me. I am using win7 64 bit.

Well, and the preview version works fine, but that is not the solution. With original drivers from AMD/ATI you don't have XGP control. So, that what we are waiting for, is to have internal screen boost and control the XGP port. The one fink that i noticed is, i can play a game with external monitor throw Graphic Booster and at the same time i can serf on the net throw internal GPU, it's like 2 GPU at same time. No frames drop.
