Li3910 Keys wearing out

Postby sonarbell » Thu Oct 01, 2009 19:52

I bought this notebook one month ago and the keys are already showing signs of the white lettering fading. I dont even use it regularly either !!!!. Not very good for a quality item. Anyone else experiencing this ?

Are all the keys fading out or just some?

In some countries they additionally print the special local characters (like ščćžđ) on top of the original prints. These additional prints are very often done in very poor quality and are the 1st to fade out.

Anyways if it's just one month old, it's still under warranty so call your local helpdesk and have them replace the keyboard.

Re: Li3910 Keys wearing out !!!!!!! Help Needed

Things not looking very good !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a just over a month old and Fujitsu want to charge me for the repair of replacing the keyboard.. I have 2 other Fujitsu Siemens machines. One being over 6 years old !! They are used every day for work and there is no hint of the lettering wearing off..!!!!!!
I have 2 choices.. I can ring Fujitsu Germany Repair Centre at the International call rate at my cost and argue the point or put up and shut up !!!.

So much for Fujitsu being a quality product !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any ideas as to what to do next guys ???

Well all I can say is a big thank you to a very very nice man in Fujitsu UK support team. He has resolved this issue to a very satisfactory conclusion..

Oh and now guess whats happening.. Not only are the keys wearing out again as I have mentioned above but the screen is now intermitently displaying random black lines and certain parts of the screen just go off.

This has to be the biggest piece of rubbish I have ever owned. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I hadnt paid £500 for it 6 months ago I would happily set it on fire !!!!!!

Ok an update to this sorry saga.. I did the next best thing and took it back to Argos..They were so helpful and without any arguing gave me a full refund.. I then went out and bought a Toshiba.. Which is what I should have done in the first place..

Thanks for listening to my ramblings and I wish you all a Happy New year..
