wireless

Postby grayfriar » Fri Jul 10, 2009 18:50

Hi

can anyone advise, I have a amilo li390 notebook, is there a way you can have the wirless button on all the time instead of having to press fn and f1 everytime you log on??? also do you have to keep choosing a network everytime you log on can it be fixed to find it automatically?

thanks..
william.

Yup it's real annoying ,there has only been two fixes posted for this problem, one involves a piece of tape on the wifi card and the other is a script that you put into the autostart folder.
take a look at these posts, they refer to the LI 27** laptops but should work for you.

hi thanks a million for this.I copied and pasted the script onto notepad, put it in the startup folder as you advised, when the laptop starts up windows comes up with an error saying it cannot find the file??? any ideas? I cannot understand why this happens my older laptop the wireless came on automatically, it seems we are going backwards having to press buttons each time you log in..

thanks

check the name of the .exe file that starts your launch manager, the one the script launches is called ' WisWBSet.exe ' if yours is different then replace the one in the script.

Fujitsu decided that for security reasons the wifi should be manually started .... corporate mentality!

As for the holiday there are thunder storms just now :-(
