[Si 3655] Change Vista to XP or W.7

I recetly bought an "Amilo Si 3655" and I´m really happy with it, but I need install XP or Windows 7 on it. But there is a problem, I can´t find drivers of Amilos 3655 for XP or Windows 7. I have drivers for Vista and fujitsu web says that drivers are coming soon (I think for XP or Windows 7) but I don´t believe it.

I don´t want to install linux, whant can I do? How can I the f*** vista? Thank you.

Well for a start, you can't install windows 7. It is only beta at the moment.

If you do, then in a couple of months it will not work & you will need to go back to Vista

If you want, create an image, or keep the recovery disks for Vista.

Try installing XP, you will then have to hunt for XP drivers. Search the forum about XP drivers. Someone has made a pack for one laptop.

First of all, thank you for your time and help.

I followed your advice and I tried to find during hours XP drivers pack for my amilo 3655, but I didn´t found nothing.

Do you remember something about where you saw that someone made a pack of XP drivers? on what forum?

That would help me.

I think it was a laptop forum. search the whole site for XP drivers.

What you might need to do, is install xp, then search for the drivers you need. Driver Guide etc

But create an image first.

if you have vista you can upgrade to win7 they use the same drivers, if you have anyproblems you can use the back compatability. Win7 is the way to go, although it is not out yet, there is an XP drivers in Amilo Pro forum. The only thing is you don't want to go from xp to win 7 you need to clean install, you could even dual boot.

I agree with you that Win7 is the way to go so I will install both Xp and Win7.

What drivers are you looking for.

If the XP CD does not see the HDD you will need a SATA driver. The southbridge is ICH9M so you can use the Intel Matrix Storage Manager drivers;

They would need to be slipstreamed into the XP disc using nLite (http://www.nliteos.com/).

The VGA is Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD which can be downloaded from Intel (http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/detect.htm).
The WLAN card is Intel 5100AGN which can be downloaded from Intel web site (http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/detect.htm).
The sound card is Realtek ALC888, the drivers on the FTS website are the Vista drivers but also have XP drivers with them (in the WDM folder) and the Logitech camera .... not sure, you will need to find this one yourself (Although My Xi 3650 Logitech Camera works perfectly fine using the standard Windows drivers.
