[PI3540] Cam and mic problem

Hello there,

I recently bought F-S amilo Pi-3540 and i used the recovery disks to recover my system.My os is Vista home premium 32bit.
After that my webcam is not responding when hitting Fn+F7 the light doesnt turn on and i cant use it like i could before i restore my system.I searched the site of F-S but couldnt find any driver for the cam.

The reason why i restored the system is that the built in mic wasn't(and still isnt) working.
I couldnt chat on msn and when i used recording programmes all i heard on playback was a noise.

please help me if possible!

Try to download he DiskUpdate Utility HERE: and see if that doesn't solve your problems.
This Program should be able to find all the Drivers you need and then download them from F-S.

Thanx a lot for your reply.
I've already done that with no result. It found two new drivers one for nvidia and one for realtek but after installation of new drivers the problem persists....

Stupid question time!
Does the Pi 3540 even have a Camera?? Like I Said stupid question.
But, if it did, why doesn't F-S provide a Driver for it then?

Perhaps you could look into the Control Panel (Start-> Control Panel-> Device Manager), and give us the the Hardware ID.

(NOTE YOU'LL LIKELY HAVE TO ACTIVATE THE CAMERA FIRST i.e. FN+F7 ~Or what ever FN+Fx combo is needed to do so.)
Actually you should be able to google that to find who ~sold~ the Camera to F-S and get the OEM Drivers from them.
But feel free to post that info here and w/luck someone might be able to offer you more help....

LOL!! yes it does..

Anyway i couldnt solve the problem so i returned the laptop back for replacemenent( It was 1 day old)

Camera is Logitech,correct and working driver can be found here Logitech13MPWebcam
