[Amilo Li1705] randomly freezes

Quite some time ago i bought a Amilo Li1705. from the begining on i have a problem.
my laptop randomly freezes. but, for example, if i'm playing music or watch a movie it still continues. so i think only the mouse and the keyboard freezes. i can't do anything, the only solution is to restart my computer by holding the powerbutton for a couple of seconds.

i dont think this is a normal situation
can anyone please help me?! cause im getting quite annoyed by it.

ow im running Windows Vista Home, everything is standard. i already updated the drivers, bios. and still no result.

I hate to tell you this, but that model is known for a plethora of problems.

Have you tried using external mouse and keyboard? Have you tried doing a fresh install of Vista?

yes, i tried using external mouse. the weird thing is.. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt

before i somehow managed to fix this problem, that i re-installed vista and now the problem is back.
a long time ago i red something about uninstalling a windows update. i think that did the trick but i cant remember which one.
so i hoped someone here knows the answer

The solution is to return the laptop and ask for your money back. Had the same on an AMILO LI1818. I could use this notebook, in a period of almost three months, for only 15 days. All other days the notebook was in for repair and nothing solved the problem even a new motherboard. So if you still can return the notebook, you can better do so.

do you know how long the waranty on the Li1705 is? i bought the laptop in the end of October.
the laptop still looks fine but on the lid (i mean the other side of the screen ) there are some scratches.
do they still take it back then?
