[AMILO Xi1526] latest BIOS - in this topic

Postby shtraue » Tue Mar 20, 2007 11:16

As has been confirmed earlier, - BIOS v1.20 for AMILO Xi 1526 / 1554 is also working with AMILO Xi 1546 / 1547.

The latest BIOS now, which is posted on Xi 1526 / 1554 support pages is v1.22.

So if you have Xi 1546 / 1547 you can go to the support pages of Xi 1526 / 1554 and download the latest BIOS there.

Note, that at time of this writing I have not flashed newest BIOS myself yet, on my Xi 1546, because it is left at home, but likewise with v1.20 BIOS, the v1.22 is most likely to work for us (the left out in the cold owners of Xi 1546 / 1547) as well.

New BIOS version 1.23 is available on Xi 1526 / 1554 support pages, and the BIOS is running fine on the support abandoned Xi 1546 / 1547 models as well.

Are there any changes to the 1.22? The release notes said something about a keyboard problem fixed?

Yes, unfortunately the update information is scarce, and I have nothing more to add to that. Except that there also might be undisclosed fixes/changes in the BIOS as well, because if you look at the changelog of version 1.22, there is nothing said at all about what's new in the BIOS, and yet, why release a new version if nothing has changed?

True, although very much like the FSC I've come to know. No information, updates that work but aren't supported etc.

Okay flashed to 1.23 after having the motherboard changed. No change visible. Except that all programs (cpu-z, everest) report my motherboard as 1547 but who cares.

BIOS version 1.25 is out, and FSC now also posts new versions on Xi 1546 / 1547 support pages. Good.
