Connecting AH530 to LG 42LH7000

Postby chard » Wed Oct 19, 2011 11:03

Morning,

I am trying to connect my AH530 (Win 7 home premium x64) to my LG 42LH7000 LCD tv via HDMI. As soon as I turn on the TV, I get a BSOD and a memory dump and the lifebook restarts.
Lifebook will connect with no problems to my LG 22LD360 using the same cable.

Have searched google and have not come across a similar problem.

Any ideas?

Thanks very much.

Hello chard,

i would try the following.
Download the latest graphic driver from the Fujitsu driver website http://ts.fujitsu.com/support
Uninstall and delete the installed graphic driver
Now install the downloaded driver
Try again to connect your notebook with the LCD

Thanks Caretaker, but I have the latest HD driver installed.

Someone where I work mentioned it may be a problem with HDCP or there may be a problem with the Fujitsu lifebook displaying on a full 1080p screen.

Do you have installed the latest driver from the Fujitsu Website or from another website. Which version is installed?

Does the bluscreen appear as soon as you connect the device or is this depending on the selected mode clone mode / extended / only external

It is the latest driver from the Fujitsu website, Intel® HD Graphics Version: 8.15.10.2025
The blue screen only happened the first time I tried to connect, each time after the lifebook just restarts, but does not boot until the HDMI cable is disconnected.

Have tried it in all modes.

Caretaker,

After a bit more investigation I have got it to work. Using different cables and three slots on the back of my TV instead of the easy access one on the side it appears that the previously unused HDMI slot on the side does not work at all, plays havoc with my digibox too.

Should have tried this first rather than assuming the solution was more difficult.

Thanks anyway for your assistance.

Yours in 42" :D

chard.

Good to read. Strange error for a defect HDMI port.
So now your device is not restarting anymore and each connection is possible?

Have fun with your 42"
