LIFEBOOK E780 Brightness problem

Postby Haired » Thu Aug 25, 2011 10:39

Hello.

I can't change screen brightness on my laptop. Nor with keyboard (i see green OSD but it doesn't move), nor via screen properties. In fact - there is no option in screen properties for brightness settings at all.
I updated all the system drivers via DeskUpdate - nothing has changed.

My setup:
System name: LIFEBOOK E780 (Intel Gfx)
BIOS version: Version 1.20
Operating system: Microsoft Windows 7 Corp x64

Please help.

Do you have used the combination Fn+F6 / Fn+F7 to change the brightness?
And thre is only the green onscreen menü but it is not moving?

What happens if you press e.g. Fn+F3 for muting the audio, is it muted after that?

I would recommend to uninstall the following applications and reinstall them again.

Fujitsu Display Manager
Fujitsu Hotkey Utillty
Fujitsu Power Saving Utility
Fujitsu System Extension Utility

Yep.

It is. All other "Fn" keys working just fine.

I would recommend to uninstall the following applications and reinstall them again.

Tried. Doesn't help.
I also tried installing FTS-recommended video driver and last available Intel driver. Same story.

First try the Fujitsu System Extension Utility than the other Drivers.
