FibreCAT SX80 - cannot see LUNs on iSCSI host

Postby Panzer » Mon Mar 09, 2009 15:33

Hello,

I have the following configuration:
- FibreCAT SX80 iSCSI dual controller
- Dell m1000e blade system.

FibreCAT storage is connected to Dell m1000e blade system via Dell PowerConnect M6220 ethernet switch modules (each controller is connected to separate switch and have IP address from different subnets). I'm running XenServer 5.0 on my blades and I want to add a shared storage repository to the Resource pool. I have created a volume on my virtual disk 2 (this is the only volume on the storage). I've mapped it to LUN 0 for my iSCSI host to see it (iSCSI IQN of the host was automatically visible on web page for mapping volumes).

However, when I try to discover LUNs using IQN of the each controller, it returns an empty list (I've tried both from the XenCenter's wizard and from the CLI). Any help?

Heh, the problem was that the virtual disk I was using to create a volume was owned by controller B, and I was trying to connect via controller A... Now everything works appropriately.
